100th CertAlarm certificate published
Brussels, April 3, 2013 – CertAlarm, an organization offering a pan-European quality mark in the fire protection and security systems industry, today announced the publishment of its 100th certificate. “The fact that we have reached the 100 certificates milestone proves that we are on the right way to becoming the pan-European mark for the fire and security industries recognised across the EU”, says Wouter Blom, Director of the CertAlarm Board.
CertAlarm appoints new General Manager
CertAlarm today announced the appointment of Anja Kinsky as the new General Manager of the organisation. Prior to joining CertAlarm, Anja Kinsky held the position of Head of the Approval & Conformity team of Siemens Fire Safety & Security, a Business Unit of Siemens Building Technologies.
A large choice of labs (RTLs) and certifiers (CCBs) in CertAlarm
Starting in 2010 with two partners, Anpi (B) and Telefication (NL), CertAlarm partners group includes now four additional labs (called RTL): Kriwan (D), DNV (N), Applus (E) and Intertek (GB).
Manufacturers can request quotations directly to these recognized partners for CertAlarm certificates, starting with new test reports or simply asking for transfer certificates to the contracted certifiers (CCB).

CertAlarm on SICUR Madrid
0n invitation of the SICUR, International Security Safety & Fire Exhibition, and the Spanish trade association AES, La Asociacion espanola de Empresas de Seguridad, CertAlarm was present to showcase the CertAlarm scheme. During the presentation for an audience of 70 people, the speaker informed them about the content and the scope of the CertAlarm scheme. The role of national accreditation organisations as well as the role of certifiers and test houses where highlighted. At the end of the presentation, the benefits for end users as well the industry were presented.
